2022 and the year ahead

Carma UK. 2022 and beyond.

We’ve had a fantastic year in 2022 as we further establish Carma UK as an international professional construction contractor. We remain a small construction company only 3 years into our journey but our rapid growth and development is testament to our ambitious goals. 2023 is set to be an incredible year for the team as other construction companies struggle through the economic challenges present, Carma is thriving through its continued commitment to exemplary client communication, process review and improvement, management, health and safety and site work.

Our health and safety record of 2022 was exceptional. This is through both a bottom up and top-down approach where every member of Carma UK is accountable. Above all else, we want our team and those working in close proximity to us to get home safely.

Our supporting team have been terrific this year. Continuing processes where excellence has been achieved and honing others where we have found areas for improvement. We continue to try to ensure our work environment is supportive, exciting, challenging, safe and importantly, fun. Carma UK was established through a love of construction and ensuring our work is enjoyable is something we hold in high regard. We hope our team continue to enjoy working together through the year ahead.

We reflect on some of the highlights below:

The team have enjoyed our work with local social enterprises helping revive vacant commercial buildings for the community. The work was varied and often challenging constantly needing to offer innovative value engineering solutions to our client managing a tight KPI led government grant to deliver these projects for the community.

We have enjoyed the challenges of our first EnerPhit refurbishment project in central Oxford taking an 1800 terrace house and significantly improving its insulation and airtightness qualities for the future comfort and energy efficiency of our client. The team have shown high levels of care and professionalism with their insulation and membrane detailing commended by the onsite architect practice overseeing our work. We look forward to handing this building over to our client in Q1 2023.

We have been fortunate to continue to receive work enquiries from prestigious clients in Central Oxford, Summertown, The Cotswolds and Boars Hill as our professional services become better recognised. We hope we can continue to be fortunate enough to continue to work for such fantastic families and businesses.
