Session #04
Making AI Your Ally - From Human Vision To AI Precision
This free, certificated in-person CPD event was held in Oxford and explored how AI can help streamline architectural practice, enhance collaboration and support more efficient BIM workflows.
The session focused on the practical application of AI, Scan-to-BIM and point cloud technology within architecture and the wider built environment. It was designed for professionals already using digital workflows, as well as those looking to better understand how emerging technologies are beginning to influence design, coordination and project delivery. A key theme of the event was how these tools can support, rather than replace, the design process.
Industry experts Pierre Saunal of (Airc.Digital & Snap Twin) and Peter Bauman of (Space Survey) shared practical insight into how technologies including Scan-to-BIM, digital twins and point cloud data are already being used across the construction industry. Their presentations demonstrated how these tools can contribute to improved project delivery, coordination and decision-making, supported by examples from live projects and current industry practice.
The event also provided an opportunity for attendees to explore how digital tools can help streamline workflows, keep practices informed about developing technologies and provide practical knowledge that can be applied to future projects.
The evening concluded with informal networking, bringing together architects, surveyors, engineers and construction professionals from Oxford, London and the surrounding region.
